College transcripts should be included if the announcement makes reference to education. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Food Handler's permits must be obtained through the Health Clinic as soon as possible after being notified you have the position.  These are normally done on Mondays and Tuesdays.

All NAF positions may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Military Spouse Employment Preference: Eligible spouses will receive preference for positions under the DOD Employment Preference for Military Spouses Program. A wife or husband of an active duty military member of the armed forces who has received Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders may be eligible. Eligibility is for the period beginning 30 days before the military sponsor's reporting date at the new duty location and ending upon acceptance or declination of a permanent position. Refusal by the spouse to participate in established recruitment procedures (e.g., interview, KSA's when required) is considered a declination of employment and is a basis for termination of spousal preference for the current PCS of the sponsor. Spouse preference is good until the eligible spouse either accepts or declines a regular part time or full time position. Applicants who believe they are entitled to preference must submit a copy of the sponsor's PCS orders and a copy of the marriage certificate along with their application form.

Involuntarily Separated Military Preference: Members of the armed services who are involuntarily separated under other than adverse conditions are entitled to preference in hiring for NAF positions. This preference applies also to family members of involuntarily separated military members. To receive this preference, the ISM or family member must request it at the time they apply for a NAF position by presenting a copy of the DD Form 214 or a copy of an official letter from Department of the Army indicating eligibility. Family members will present a copy of DD Form 1173. ISM preference is terminated upon placement into or declination of a NAF position for which application is made (whichever is first). ISM is good for only 1 year after being separated from the military.

Enlisted Military Personnel: You must have the written approval of your commander prior to employment in a Nonappropriated Fund position during off-duty hours. A form for such purposes may be obtained through the NAF Human Resource Office.

Reasonable Accommodations: The Department of the Army NAF provides reasonable accommodations to applicants with disabilities. If you need a reasonable accommodation for any part of the application and hiring process, please notify the servicing NAF civilian personnel unit. Requests for reasonable accommodations are made on a case-by-case basis.

Whistleblower Protection: NAF employees and applicants will be free from reprisal in making protected disclosures and the confidentiality of employees and applicants making such disclosures will be protected.

Equal Opportunity: The Department of the Army Nonappropriated Fund Instrumentalities are Equal Opportunity Employers. All qualified employees will receive consideration without regard to race, color, sex, age, national origin, or handicap.
