The Dugway Post Library now offers Wi Fi Internet access!
Our wireless network offers our Post Library patrons free high-speed connection to the Internet so that they may: --check e-mail, --surf the Internet, --do online research, --access AKO and Pioneer databases.

Most laptops will automatically detect and connect to the wireless network virtually automatically. However, because each computer is unique, we are not able to offer personal technical assistance with your configuration. You are responsible for setting up your own PC configuration.

Remember, WI FI networks are not secure! Wireless transmissions, by their nature, can be intercepted very easily. The transmissions in and out of your laptop over a wireless network can be easily captured and/or read. If your data are not encrypted when they leave your computer they are not secure. It is recommended that you do NOT use this Wireless Internet for secure transactions, such as banking, investments, or even proprietary information.

And about viruses? Wireless networks do not produce viruses. Viruses come from the Internet, often as attachments to e-mail. We recommend that you have virus protection and a personal firewall installed on your laptop.

NOTE: Wireless Internet access is provided free of charge by the Dugway Post Library for patrons who have the required hardware and software needed for this service. However, all users are reminded that they must comply with the Library Computer and Internet Acceptable Use Policy when using this service.
