Army Family Team Building

Army Family Team Building is not a new idea or concept. It is the formal recognition and naming of something the Army and Army families have been doing for over 200 year-sustaining and nurturing the force, serving the Nation, and empowering families.

Army Family Team Building is an integral component of the Chief of Staff's well-being initiative. It is about READINESS-Mission Readiness and Family Readiness-adapting to Army life, accepting challenges, managing change, and developing life skills. By helping families reach their maximum potential, AFTB contributes to soldier performance, recruiting, retention, and most of all, readiness.

Our mission is to educate and train the Army, Civilians, and family members in knowledge, skills, and behaviors designed to prepare families for the future. The Goal is to empower family members to help other family members! AFTB is a family member grassroots-driven program, created as a result of lessons learned during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

AFTB trainings are divided into three levels of instruction-Level I, Level II, Level III and the Instructor Training. Although the trainings are progressive and sequential, you may attend any module of any level depending upon your needs or interests (i.e., Level III materials, then Level II, Instructor Training, any blockings, etc.)

For more information on AFTB Please call us at 435-831-2278 anytime Monday to Thursday 0730 to 1730 hours (7:30 AM to 5:30 PM)
